The mounting blocks fit the factory grab rail perfectly and installation was a breeze. This unit is ROCK solid and has hauled everything from a Givi top case loaded for camping, to huge duffel bags, and in a pinch, a stack of brake rotors for my truck (not recommended having that much weight so high!). It looks great when there’s nothing on it, the finish isimpervious to any and all abuse I’ve given it, and it keeps on going above and beyond every day. The 2016 Multistrada Pikes Peak that it’s mounted on sees about 500 miles a week of central Colorado riding bliss and the luggage rack and top case mount continue to be a BFF through all those miles and every challenge I can throw at them. I only wish I had more bikes so I could use more Dynamic Motorcycle Accessories products!
I really like the rack but the hardware rusted in no time. There is noone out there that wants rusted bolts on their ride or worse yet rust stains down the bike from those rusted bolts.
It does what it supposed to but upgrade to some better hardware.
