it must be used with either (A) our Backrest Mount Plates or (B) one of our Luggage Racks.
(shown in pictures, sold separately, you dont need both)
either option includes hardware to attach the Mounting Plates or Luggage Rack to the bike, that will be the platform the Backrest can attach to.

Absolutely a godsend ,
In short with the power of the Ducati when I have the backrest fitted and my wife is on the back I Know I can actually open the bike up on an overtake and not worry about her falling off the back. (Which makes for a much happier wife ) Also on long tours it just makes her much more comfortable.
The rack is well made and fits easily and looks good . The only downside is the cost and shipping price . But you don't put crap parts on a new Ducati !

I purchased this back rest two years ago for my Ducati pikes peak, and I love it. With the back rest, I attach a small roll bag and it carries everything that you need for a weekend ride. Also, my wife finds it very comfortable on her back with this back rest. The top case. that came with my multi Strata pikes Peak looks out of place, like a planet orbiting your bike! This is a wellmade accessory.
